Summary
PaperHands is a Chrome extension for practising meme coin trades with simulated money. It is made by Nevil Paul (“we”, “us”).
- No account, sign-up or email address.
- Never asks for a wallet, seed phrase or private key, and cannot move real funds.
- No analytics, tracking or advertising in the extension.
- Your paper trades and settings stay on your device. We run no server that receives them.
Data stored on your device
PaperHands saves the following in Chrome's local extension storage, on your computer only. It is not synced to your Google account and is never sent to us.
- Your paper balances (SOL and ETH), deposits and resets
- Open positions, orders, trade history and the PnL calendar
- Exit settings: initials, take profit, stop loss, trailing stops and ladders
- Preferences such as sound, card theme, selected chain and SOL/USD display
- Sites you have enabled beyond the built-in list
- A custom RPC address, if you add one (it may contain your own API key)
You can clear it at any time with the reset option in the extension. Uninstalling PaperHands deletes all of it.
What it reads on web pages
On supported trading sites, and on sites you enable yourself, PaperHands reads the page to find which token you are looking at (its contract, pair or pool address) and the market cap shown on screen, so your paper trades fill at the price you see. When you use Pick price, it reads the element you click.
It does not read or store form fields, passwords, cookies, wallet connections or your browsing history, and it does not send page content anywhere. It does not run on sites that are not supported unless you enable them.
PaperHands only writes to your clipboard when you press a copy or share button, for example to copy a contract address or a PnL card. It never reads your clipboard.
Third-party services
To price your trades with live data, the extension requests public market information from the services below. These requests contain public token and pool addresses, never your identity or your trades. Like any web request, they reveal your IP address to the service, which handles it under its own privacy policy.
- DexScreener
- Token names, logos, market stats and fallback prices.
- pump.fun
- Details for new coins DexScreener has not listed yet.
- PumpPortal
- A live stream of trades for pump.fun and PumpSwap coins you hold or view.
- Solana RPC providers
- On-chain prices from bonding curves and pools (Solana public RPC, PublicNode, Nodeflare, or the RPC you configure).
- Robinhood Chain RPC
- On-chain prices from Uniswap pools on Robinhood Chain.
- wsrv.nl and IPFS / Arweave gateways
- Loading and resizing token logo images.
If you add your own RPC address (for example a Helius key), it is stored only on your device and used only to reach that provider.
